Nottinghamshire Schools Ensemble

Please note: The Schools Group has disbanded and we cannot currently take any bookings. However, if you would be interested in a visit in the event that the Schools Group should reform, please send to the email address below and let us know of your interest.

A small group of Notts SRP members enjoy visiting local primary schools and care homes in and around Nottingham to share the pleasure of live music once a month. We have a choice of programmes:
InfantsIncludes a few familiar nursery rhymes
Round the WorldA selection of pieces from various countries such as Mexico, Ireland, West Indies, Ukraine and others.
AnimalsA selection of pieces themed around animals such as crocodiles, elephants, hippopotamuses and others
TudorA selection of pieces from the English Tudor period, suitable for slightly older children
Care HomeA selection of pieces based on popular songs and TV theme music familiar to the older generations
All the programmes have an associated slideshow providing extra information about the pieces which can be shown providing the school has a suitable computer and projector for showing Powerpoint slideshows. As you can see from the photos below we use a wide range of instruments from the tiny sopranino to the large contrabass.

Follow this link: Schools Group programmes to access a detailed list of pieces included in the programmes.
